About Us

My name is Joel Nithushan. I am an undergraduate software engineering student, and I also work at a software company. I live in Sri Lanka. Everything on this site is written by me.

Why this exists

Technology is easier to learn than it is to remember. You work something out, move on, and months later hit the same problem with no memory of how you solved it the first time.

So I started writing things down. That is the whole origin of this site.

The second reason came later. Search almost any specific technical question and you land on forum threads where several people describe the problem and nobody posts an answer, or on articles written by someone who clearly never tried the thing they are describing. A clear answer costs me an hour to write and saves the next person an afternoon.

What you will find here

Software and applications — tools, how they are set up, and where they fall short.

Hardware — PCs, laptops, phones, and the parts inside them.

Tutorials and how-to guides across both, written with the steps that official documentation tends to skip.

Trending technology and new releases, covered once there is something real to judge rather than during the announcement.

Making money with tech — freelancing, tools worth paying for, and side income. I am writing this part as I learn it, not from the far side of it.

How I write

I write about things I have used. Where I am unsure, the post says so. If something was slow or awkward, that is because it was slow or awkward for me, not because someone told me it would be.

No sponsored posts. No press releases rewritten as news. No opinions on products I have not touched.

I am a student and a working developer, not an expert, and I am not going to pretend otherwise. What I can offer is a clear account of things I have actually worked through.
